Design and Development
Core Process

Design and development is a fundamental process in the manufacture of fluid from components. Cheltenham Tool Company employs the use of industry standard design and development tools. We primarily use the CATIA Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Computer Aided Manufacture (CAM) solutions from Dassault Systemes.

Our older design systems are still maintained, these are now only used for maintenance and re-work on established products and tools. All new work is done exclusively on CATIA V5.

The design and development of our forming tools, trimming jigs, inspection jigs and trim and finishing programs are all developed in house.

All our multi-axis trimming and milling machines are driven directly by the CATIA post processors ensuring that the finished product is accurate to the design.
